Driving fast during rain will be very dangerous it can cause road accidents which lead to serious injuries. If you are driving in a high way in the rain then slow down the car to a safe speed of 80 km/h and also don’t forget to maintain save distance between you and the vehicle in front of you.

Pullover:

You cannot predict the rain maybe sometimes it gets slow down and completely stops and you feel that it will not gonna rainy weather again, then after covering some distance, it starts again, That’s what the rain does; it completely unpredictable so it’s better to stay at the nearest  gas station and wait for the weather to become normal. It doesn’t matter how much times it takes 15 mint, an hour, etc but its worth to wait because safety is above from all.

Don’t use Hazard Lights!

It’s a good idea to make your vehicle more prominent and visible but it not a favorable thing to do because if other drivers see your Hazard Light is on they will suspect for the worst condition like they might think that you are having accidents or you are stopped due to some issue they will slam their foot on the brake which can cause serious accidents.

It’s is better that you should never drive with hazard light are on, these lights are only be used when there is a real issue. i.e accident or stopped car.

How close are you?

The rule of thumb is to maintain the distance of two car lengths in normal conditions like in sunny weather when roads are dry. Because in the wet road you will probably gonna need more distance to stop the car, it is better to extend the distance to four car lengths between you and the car in front of you.

Stay in your Lane:

It better to pick a lane and stay in it, because other drivers might not be able to see you due to lower visibility, switching the lanes and it’s not a good idea to switching lanes constantly, changing lanes will not gonna get you faster even when the weather is clear.

Do you hear that?

Due to raining the range of visibility gets lower, so you need to stay sharp and avoid any distractions while driving in rainy weather. Turn off the sound system of your car or reduce the volume, and stay alert if there are any danger or emergency vehicles.

Crank up the heat!

It might not be a beneficial tip but in rainy weather, the temperature gets down and cause blurring of the mirrors due to fog. A fogged upfront screen and limited visibility can be life-threatening.

Do your wipers work?

The wipers play a crucial role in the rainy season because they wipe out all the water from the front screen and makes the screen clear to increase the range of visibility.
